A Week in a Nutshell

 Kanshakangeki Amearashi (Encore) Oct 8th, 2008 - Tokyo Dome All Last[

Its been a pretty busy week at work for me, which explains the non-updating of this blog. But it didnt mean I was away from doing fangirl stuff, I just didnt have time to update. 

So here are the highlights of my arashi week, in a nutshell;

TIME DVD
Its finally announced. Great strategy, J-storm, release last year's con DVD before the start of the 2008 to get the fans up in a frenzy. I listened to the last concert again and it certainly does make you look forward to the next round of concerts. This is the last song they left us with, from the Oct 8th Tokyo Dome final concert. Kanshakangeki Ame arashi. at the last part, we get Shochan yelling 'NEWS ZERO, Ittekimasu!!'
Yes, I think I will be looking forward to the first concert in Osaka. (listen to the file attached above, the echo-ing is quite bad due to the largest of the dome, but the feeling of excitement is there.


PEPSI NEX:




I tried it. It tastes just like every other zero calorie drink - artifical. Its not that satisfying when you drink it, but, having said that, I am more of a coke drinker than a pepsi drinker. 

The vending machine near my office has his face, so I just had to take a picture during one of my lunch breaks. 



and this evening I was on the train, and there were ads of him, okada and Carina in one row in the carriage, but i took a pictire of just Jun's poster:




Shochan Radio: March 3rd 2008:

He announced the Dome concerts and continued ' well, this time, my suggestion for the title was again taken up. (sorry!) Well, there were various suggestions, and my suggestion was 'A-live'. When I look it up, in the past, it meant 'to be living' but now it means 'something that is full of live and energy' and is used as an adjective. And in this case the 'A' and the LIVE' are separated by a hyphen. Why is this so?  Well, one of the reasons is that it is full of live and energy but the other mean is that the 'A' stands for 'Arashi' or 'A-class'. Well and then Matsumoto-kun, he said, well, its something like our dreams have come true, so we get 'DREAM A-LIVE' where you have you live out your dreams. That is how the title was decided. Then further on, we deliberated over whether we should stop proclaiming it as an 'Arashi Summer Tour 2008' , and then we thought 'Ok if we dont have this, what should we change it to then? '  (And sorry to tell you this, but my suggestion was also taken up again....hmmm I was thinking maybe i should be a copyrighter.... XD )  'Arashi Marks 2008' . Well there were many other suggestions, like 'arashi's party' , 'arashi's stage', and in the midst of this discussion, what I proposed was that to use 2008 was a 'mark', or sign, in arashi's history. And from there on, there were various suggestions like how about 'Arashi marks' ? it would have dual meaning : 1) as in making 2008 a milestone, and 2) Arashi Sign or emblem. So, that was how the arashi title was decided upon. 


The arashi calender:

Well everyone should have seen scans of the diary by now and my verdict when i saw it was 'This is not a diary!! Its a picture book!!!' Its too nice to use!!

What cracked me up was the caption on Captain's T-shirt in the cook book 'CHIPPENDALE DROPOUT'. ROFL. 
With a fake bowtie to give it some oomph!. 

and if you look at the english translation of the Q&A at the back of the diary:

1) What is something you'd like to accomplish, even if it takes 10 years?
Ohno Satoshi :  That would probably be a hobby.

2)  How do u think pple see you?
Ninomiya Kazunari : As a good person. (ROFL)

3)  Name two things that most give you strength. 
Aiba Masaki : I guess for me it would be Arashi and Time off. (well said. Aiba kun. Me too. ^ ^) (this boy surprises me sometimes with the occasional logical thing he says).

4)  What compliment makes you most happy?
matsumoto jun:  There's something I liked about that.

5)  What sort of fun things have you done recently?
Sakurai Sho:  I've got to tell you, I love my job. (XD XD) ROFL.
