New Encounters

 

This past year, I had many new types of work in the form of movies, musicals and solo live. Because of these, I had a lot of new encounters.  Of course, it is notable that I have new encounters with the cast members, but if I include the staff too, that’s a lot of people whom I have met recently. Especially, with Isetani (Yosuke) kun, whom I met when I did Hachikuro, together with Kase (Ryo)-kun, these new encounters were refreshing, for I felt comfortable when I am with them.  Also, with Joey too, the producer of Beautiful Game, maybe its because we had a good encounter doing West~ and therefore, this time we can also work together.

 

Playing tag was good….

 

When I was in primary school, there was this guy whose guts I hated. But we are best friends now. However, due to his work, he is now in Osaka. When we were in Primary 2, he made fun at me and I got extremely angry at him and wanted to throw a desk  at him (O_*) Sho-kun…tsktsk… and we were always arguing and fighting. But in Primary 5, we became good friends. The reason? Cos we played tag during the school excursion. We had the same way of looking at things. (laughs).  When others asked me“Why are you guys so good friends?” I would say, “not really, we are not that good friends.” And somehow, one thing or another, its already been 10 years that this has been going on.

 

The Beeper/Pager (Pocket Bell) is revolutionary

 

When I was in secondary 2, I had a shocking encounter with a beeper.  It was revolutionary.  During my free time, I would be at the public telephone, pressing the buttons. Even now, I am pretty deft at pressing those buttons! (laughs).  But its not just me, it was a shocking encounter for all of mankind! (Yep, I suppose pagers ruled the world back in 1995/96).  Now, everyone is holding a mobile phone. When I was growing up and when I wanted to call a girl at home, I would wonder if her father were at home and get all nervous. I think everyone should get a taste of feeling like this.  But now, my little brother, he’s been sending emails to girls. That’s not good. He should also experience the nervousness of calling girls too. 

 

The start of me being in charge of rapping in Arashi

 

My encounter with Arashi’s debut song A.RA.SHI was big. If I didn’t do the rapping for that song, I might have ended up leading another life. I have liked Hip Hop from before, but if I had not encountered the song A.RA.SHI, I wouldn’t even have thought about writing my own rap lyrics.  It is really good to get everyone high during a concert, ne. My impression of that song, it changed from the first time when I heard it. When I heard the demo tape for the first time, I didn’t like it, but with the member’s voices in it, and after many times of singing it, I became to like it.  A song that I totally didn’t like, it finally became a very important song to me. Isn’t this concept interesting?

Hmm. I wonder if he's still nervous when he calls girls, esp with those he likes... that is so cute... *imagines a chibi sho getting all worked up before calling a girl* ......................KAWAII!!! SUGOKU KAWAIKAWWA!!
