Popolo June 06 - Spring Encounters!

May 3rd, 2006 (10:17 pm)

current mood: peaceful

Decided to translate Popolo instead of Myojo to prevent myself from getting a squint and new glasses.
This time, i'll start with the  ドS番長。。。。^ ^ The popolo spread is about Spring Encounters... (somehow, I remember translating something similar to this sometime back...)

Movies, Butais, Abrasions, Old Clothes and A Birth!

Seems like my fellow classmate has given birth. Isn’t it fantastic?”

The shooting of the movie “Bokuimo” has finished with incident. Immediately following that, Jun started with the rehearsals of Byakuya no onna warukyuu-re”. Even if he has no off days, every day he has superb encounters.

Spring Encounter No.1

The trilling sensation of shooting an excellent movie

I have completed the filming of the movie “Boku ha imouto ni koiwosuru” .  Whilst filming, I had various exciting experiences, and it was really enjoyable.  It was refreshing that we did not check on the monitor right after we finished shooting. Just like what Johnny’s jimusho would do. (laughs). If there was a monitor, I would want to check on how I did. Therefore, since there were no monitors around, I couldn’t do it and did feel a bit lost, but there was one time where I did get a chance to see the scene that was shot. Because it was terribly beautiful, somehow, I could understand totally what the director wanted to shoot, what the staff wanted to do and after that I felt that I could leave it all to them.

Spring Encounter No.2

I am throwing my heart entirely into the butai rehearsals, but…..

Right after I finished the shooting of the movie “Bokuimo” I started the rehearsals of Byakuyano onna warukyure and now I am in a mess. Actually, I have only remembered up to half of the lines in the butai and I think I am quite a dead duck. I am not skilled at handling two things at one time. Therefore, whilst I was shooting the movie, even tho I was also slightly worried over the butai, I couldn’t really think too much over it. Hence, when I immediately set about preparing for the butai right after the filming of Bokuimo, I realized that it was more taihen(tough)  than I imagined it would be. In any case, I am desperately trying to change my mindset to get into the butai. In any case, because the content of the butai is difficult, for the people who come to watch the butai, you can’t be inattentive. I hope that everyone will take care to watch the butai closely.

Spring Encounter No. 3

I got an abrasion after I fell, something which I hadn’t done for a long time!

Talking about this, during the filming of “Bokuimo”  there was a scene where I had to fall whilst playing soccer.  During the actual filming, I really fell down and both my legs were full of blood. Then during that time, my outfit was physical training gear and I was barefoot, and therefore I received the full brunt of the injuries from the fall. My fall was less than magnificent and the staff around me, they quickly took a step back. (laughs).  The director, when he saw both my legs, he said, “U did something which I didn’t see…” (bitter laugh). The injury was spread over a large area, and so I couldn’t cover it with a bandaid, and so afterward when I got into the ofuro, it was very taihen. On top of that, when I wondered how long its been years since I got an abrasion from falling down, and I couldn’t help but laugh a little.

Spring Encounter No. 4

I rediscovered the love of wearing second hand clothes.

The other time, I went to a shop selling 2nd hand clothes. By chance, I saw a shop selling second hand clothes that had a cute display, and I sort of wandered in aimlessly to have a look.  And when I did, I saw a lot of stuff that I liked. “Wah… second hand clothes are the best, as expected!” I thought. Actually, this place was far from being a second hand clothes shop.  Somehow, wearing something that has been worn by others make me feel a little resistant to the idea. But if u revisit the idea of wearing second hand clothes after some time, you can get the feeling of the goodness of wearing second hand clothes. In the end, I did not buy anything, but I want to go back there and browse through the clothes leisurely.  Its getting warmer and I have the feeling that its time to get a whole new wardrobe. When I have the time, I want to do the rounds around the second hand shops.

Spring Encounter No. 5

Eh! A birth? My fellow classmate has become a mother. It’s strange!!

I received a mail saying “ I have given birth!” from one of my female primary school classmates.  Somehow, it seemed like she gave birth by herself, and in the mail she wrote “It was a birth where I was unconscious and I had spasms” , and I was very surprised, wondering how you could give birth whilst having spasms?!! Besides, the reality that my classmate has become a mother made me be filled with deep emotion. Somehow, my idea of  “mother” is someone whose age is far removed from mine. I have some classmates who are married, but this is the first one who has given birth and it is a strange feeling to me.  But, I am wondering what kind of feeling it must be to heroically pass out (during childbirth). In the future, will I be present when my wife gives birth-? Well, I have also thought about that. I think if I go into the delivery room, I will probably be the one to faint. (bitter laugh).

er....I have a question which I have been pondering over for some time.......Why is he called the Do S Banchou?
My speculations, from what I recall after listening to some of the radio shows and watching their TV shows....

1. He mentioned that he liked his eggs soft boiled so he can smash it up to eat... (DO S!!) He likes smashing....and crushing....

2. Someone asked Nino if he thought Jun was an S or an M. Nino said.... definitely an S!!!!! XD XD
Why? cos during the filming of paintball ( I think it was G no A episode), Jun kept on forcing the other four to continue playing saying "This is practice!! THis is practice!" and he contined shooting. Nino said.. "That guy, he really likes shooting at people...." As I recall, nino hated that game cos it was painful when those balls hit you.. XD XD XD

3. He likes slapping aiba-kun....

Maybe that's why they call him DoS!! Anyone have any other ideas?  ^ ^;

haha...Do.S Banchou...roughly S stands for the sadistic character...and I think Banchou stands for the top of the class...so it means he is the no.1 most sadistic(violent, likes to cause pain) one...I forgot about the Do. part....but it was quite funny because he asked arashi what was he nickname, and they all said Do.S Banchou, and Jun laughed and said, "Not that one, the other one"....

He is definitely a sadist. About the paintball, didn't he do it quite a few times? He really enjoyed shooting at someone and it usually seems to be Kachang who is the target. Since Kachang usually slay people with his tongue, I guess it's payback. And yes, poor Machan is his slapping target.

Friends giving birth hmmm... I think the first time I knew of a friend my age giving birth was at 17. Since then, I'm used to hearing if anyone else gave birth.

I can imagine thousands of girls who would love to wear the Bait's 2nd-hand clothes.

If he's the S in arashi, then I wonder who are the "M"s. The members that come to mind are Aiba (yes, the slapee) and maybe Captain.. XD

About the DoS thing ( by the way, hello :) I've never posted in your lj, but I'm a regular reader since I was "arashi-ed" a few months ago :b ):
I may be mistaken, but I think it actually started in Utawara (March 5th). Jun was bashing Jin (as usual, and as should be :b), then he made a comment to one of the women performers to which she answered "In Matsujun's case, he's mean to the girls he likes!", then it went on to the point somebody said " He's really "S", that Matsujun !!"...
(see pict, lol, and notice the comment on top, reading "Matsujun ha DoS no shikaisha ?" -Is matsujun the king od DoS?- well, shikaisha is more like president, but anyway...).
The pict is here: http://dfactory1.hd.free.fr/tokage/ljstuff/DoSshikasha.jpg
(sorry, I'm not used to post on lj much, so I'm a bit lost as how to post a pict directly in here...)

Anyway, I think it was in the next G no Arashi, the one with Minor Sports taikai, where he asks the others "Do you know what i'm being called lately? " and they all answer "DoS bancho!"... Funny how those shows actually play off each other sometimes. Or it's just my imagination ^_^;

lol, yes. Once again, I may be wrong, but I do think Jun is playing on that a lot lately, like slapping Aiba, or intimidating people in the air guitar contest. He probably enjoys it ^_^ ...

hmm.. if the 'S' stands for sadistic, and 'banchou' means something like number one, then where does the 'DO' comes from? O__o

"Do" is a lot like "chô" (like in chô-kawaï, for example). It means hyper, super, mega, someting extreme.
(gah, I hope I'm not too intrusive... I just can't resist that kind of question ^_^;)
